The 8th China-Europe Workshop on Functional Pavement

CEW was jointly initiated by Southeast University, HIT, and RWTH Aachen University in Germany. The previous seven workshops were respectively held by Southeast University (CEW2010), HIT (CEW2012), RWTH Aachen University (CEW2014), Delft University of Technology (CEW2016), Changsha University of Science and Technology (CEW2018), Southeast University (CEW2020), and Aston University & University of Nottingham (CEW2023). CEW offers a platform for universities and industry from China, Europe and around the world to showcase new methods and concepts in the road engineering. It has received extensive support from prestigious universities and institutions worldwide and has become one of the most renowned brand academic events in the field of transportation engineering in China and Europe.
The 8th China-Europe Workshop on Functional Pavement (CEW 2025) is scheduled to be held in Weihai City, Shandong Province, China from August 15th to 17th.
The CEW 2025, with the theme of "Future Smart and Resilient Road Infrastructure", covers cutting-edge research fields in road engineering. In-depth discussions will be conducted on topics such as promoting the green and resilient development of transportation infrastructure with new quality productivity, optimizing the design of pavement materials and structures, the development and innovation of road transportation, and moving towards a digital twin of the road system. In addition, the workshop will set up an interdisciplinary forum on future transportation science and infrastructure technology.
